Paperplay week 10.

Versamark stamped the background, then rubbed over it with chalk, versamarked and embossed the 'love'. Then triple embossed the wings and heart. Stamped some swirls on the grey and there ya go.....

I have done some workshops with this gang, and have been tempted to join their coven. But this latest stuff would lure anyone!!

Mothers Day ....

Did two mothers day cards and gifts ... for some reason only took photos of one set *blush* So can only show off the ones I did for my Mother in Law!!




Used some of the remaining paper from Annamarie's class. Beautiful paper.

Make a card/Lo whatever for mothers day but no flowers allowed. I don't know about anyone else but I'm always tempted to put flowers on, so this will be a challenge for me anyway, LOL




Actually now that I look at the layout - they both qualify!!

Free Gifts ..... :-(

..... the lovely lady in our chemist gave me a stack of free sample sized gifts today. I was delighted with them - I love free stuff!!

Untill I got home and really looked at them....

.... its anti-wrinkle cream, wrinkle filler and anti-wrinkle foundation ...#!%$

Sean's 18th Birthday ....

...was last weekend and went brilliantly. Despite there being 15 teenagers here overnight on the saturday, I still managed to be asleep by 11pm! They ate, drank (not too much), sang, played guitar and on the sunday they all mucked in and cleaned everywhere up. Even mopped the floors!

He asked me for a castle cake - and I decided to add to it by making him king of the castle, with his drum kit!!





He loved the mini album I did for him, must take a photo of it soon... and I kept the memory box just as it was , he seemed to really like it, kept saying thanks, but assured me he was not going to cry!!

I haven't actually done a layout out in ages ..seemed to have got stuck into mini albums and altered notebooks, so at this weeks craft morning in CETNS I was determined to get a layout done!!

I dont think the scans do any of them justice really. The colours are much brigher in real life and your missing some of the finer details - and the 3D details are lost.

But thank you all very much!! I love them....

Of course with DS's birthday tommorow they are going to have to come down later tonight....but I will enjoy them for these last few hours !

Honest Opinions Wanted .......

Have been working on this for Seán's birthday this weekend, its an altered box. I got the box cheep in Heatons for only six euro. And have used the basic grey papers on it...




Its filled with his first jacket, first shoe (we lost one of them along the way ...) - his first two teeth to fall out - amongst other things ...

Thing is .... is it a bit girly? I am not sure - I like the idea - but not totally sure of the finished product. I have time to find another box somewhere....


Oh yea ... amongst the stuff is this wee balloon that was on a stick within a bunch of flowers given to me in the hospital when he was born - so it too is just coming up for 18 years old...






....... its still inflated btw!
